Our story.
SHI Phangan Villas started from a plain idea: that staying somewhere for three weeks with a family shouldn't require pretending you're at a hotel. We wanted space, a kitchen, a terrace, silence at night, and neighbours we wouldn't hear.
We built thirteen villas in a walled tropical garden — eleven two-bedrooms at 138 m², two three-bedrooms at 190 m². Teak details, good mattresses, kitchens you'd actually cook in. The garden came first, and everything else was built around it.
We run the place ourselves. When something matters to a guest, it matters to one of us personally — not to a call centre somewhere else.
We're not a hotel chain and we never will be. SHI is privately owned — when something matters to a guest, it matters to us personally.
Every villa was built to the standard we'd want as guests ourselves — spacious, quiet, surrounded by green. We didn't cut corners because we knew we'd notice if we did.

Closer to a rented house than a hotel.
Most accommodation on Koh Phangan falls into three camps — beachside party hostels down on Haad Rin, mid-range resorts along Haad Yao, and the wellness-retreat circuit around Sri Thanu. SHI is none of those.
We're a small, privately owned villa resort on the quieter side of the island. Each villa has its own kitchen and terrace, which means guests cook and settle in rather than eat every meal out. The resort part is the garden, the two pools, the outdoor gym, and the fact that owners actually live here — so if you need something, you ask a person, not a queue.

Shared: two pools with loungers and umbrellas, an outdoor gym, a landscaped tropical garden. We're in a quiet area of Koh Phangan, a ten-minute walk from the beach. Close enough to everything, far enough from the noise.
